what’s cooking?

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve kept myself busy with quality time spent with my loving partner, my family including the notorious cats at home and work. Work has been quite challenging for the last 2 months (or 6 months). Am very thankful for an understanding and patient partner who never fails to listen to me rant about work on a daily basis- you’re a star! Things are looking up, let’s hope I’ll see that light at the end of this tunnel… somehow eh?

My partner and I have some life changing plans coming up which we are absolutely excited about. We couldn’t be any happier to be doing this together. We are just praying things will go as planned. We can’t thank both families enough for their support in the next chapter of our lives together. We are thrilled. Of course, my parents are the happiest birds around because their only (pain in the arse) daughter is finally settling down. And, planning a wedding is… not easy! Luq has been really sweet suggesting some wedding dresses he thought might tickle my fancy. Very subtly setting the standards for my wedding dresses- not showing too much of skin, no cleavage bearing, long sleeves- how clever! And we have our dearest Hak to be helping out with our wedding concept. Hopefully, we can get started this Dec! Ok, I’m picturing pastel colours, washed-out tins, lilies and unicorns 🙂

Anyways, I just came back from Ho Chi Minh City a week ago. It was a birthday treat for my dearest sister. We had a jolly good time being spoilt rotten by our complimentary hotel stay. Thank you Caravelle, we will come back for you some time. A proper post with pictures when I find the time to do so this week, I promise!

Oh, Luq and I had a date night last Friday to The Cheese & Chocs Bar @ Marina Bay Sands Level 57. It was just lovely to spend time with an aerial view of Singapore city which took our breaths away. The chocolate spread was amazing. Our favourites were The Chocolate Souffle and The Chocolate Crème Brulee (say what?!). While Luq was stuffing himself silly with chocolates, I was enjoying my small bites of different types of cheese on crackers. Oh, the different expressions he gave me when I tried feeding him some cheese… no, he doesn’t like cheese. I can’t even… So, what are we eating on movie nights then?! You get to enjoy 10% off the total bill if you have any Citibank cards. We only paid a total of $101 including GST.

Being the typical us, we didn’t snap photos of the cheese and chocolate spread. But, here’s one for the memories 🙂

We’ve got some exciting things coming up for #folff (for our little furry friends). We are partnering with Spatula Bakery soon for our next event. Exciting times! We will share more details of the event soon 🙂
