terrarium-kinda birthday

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve been here. It’s been a quite a busy month with Hari Raya visiting on almost every weekend. I’m actually glad to be spending my Sunday in bed today. Work has been keeping me quite occupied on weekdays. In some ways, I do enjoy a busy day at work. The hours seem to fly by faster and I love that feeling of accomplishment… oh, humans.

Anyhoos, took my man out last weekend for his belated birthday surprise! For someone who isn’t big on birthdays, I think I did a pretty good job for him (HAHA! I just had to give myself some credits for this). So, I did a little bit of research on how to surprise your boyfriend on his birthday during my lunch time. I thought DJ spinning was cool, maybe we should keep that in our list of things to do. Some of the options were macaroon making class, fencing and pasta making class. Maybe we could try out baking class together sometime. I do need to get myself acquainted in the kitchen… where’s Martha Stewart?! In the end, I decided to try out terrarium workshop which was recommended by a colleague of mine. I thought it would be useful for our future home. A garden that only needs to be watered once every 2 months, sounds like my kind of garden.

To find out more about the terrarium workshop that I went to: The Plant Story. It’s great for kids too. Luq enjoyed his time gardening on a Sunday and I got to keep his garden jar just because it’s a lot prettier than mine… he’s keeping mine 🙂 After that, we went to Rouse on Dunlop for our super late lunch. The food was yummy but, we thought it was quite steep given the portion that was served. I had open-faced roast beef sandwich (oh, bless the caramelized onions) and Luq had crabby patty. Had a great time spending my Sunday with the love of my life. Well, it can just be as simple as gardening. To more crazy couple activities together 😛

Happy birthday sweetheart. Hope you had a great time as I did. May you always be blessed with good health and smile. I love you most. Can’t wait for my birthday X

Oh yes, we also just started this foundation; For our little furry friends. We wanted to do our part to help save the animals in Singapore and hopefully, the world too. It breaks our heart to see pictures of animals being bullied going viral on Facebook so, we thought of spreading a little more love for our little furry friends by singing for a cause. All proceeds will go to Cat Welfare Society. Our first event is on 3 September, 8pm @ The Artistry. We hope to see you there 🙂 You can like us on Facebook: For our little furry friends.
