Didn’t we have a great time in San Francisco and Maui?! It was such a great adventure – not quite our first, but still… It took us months to decide on where to go for our honeymoon. I lost count of the number of times we changed our honeymoon destinations – more than 5 times maybe?! It was Luq who suggested Hawaii and I went, “why not?!”
Seeing that both of us are not exactly your favourite beach people, we decided to add a city destination into the mix. Initially, I wanted to go to NYC but Luq’s been there before, hence, we thought San Francisco wouldn’t be such a bad idea – a city and beach escape – just our kind of holiday!
Oh hello! It’s been a while since I last blogged. I guess there were a lot of things happening – good and bad – all at the same time that I didn’t manage to squeeze some time to type here. I’ve missed blogging (ranting to be exact). At the moment, I am dealing with a (mini) long distance relationship with my man while he is off working in Bintan for the week. Yes, he shipped himself to the neighbouring island in the name of work leaving me here.
Anyway, I just came back from a surprised birthday vacation. Diah, the Queen of surprises in my life, always has something up her sleeves for my and Sha’s birthday. I happened to be just a day older than Sha making it Diah’s worst living nightmare. And seeing how both Sha and I are getting married this year (just two weeks apart … again, poor D), she named this The Last Single Girls trip.
I just came back from Kuala Lumpur (KL) recently for my cousin’s wedding. Luq and I thought of making a short weekend getaway out of it too. Honestly, I can’t seem to handle going away for just the weekend anymore. It’s actually pretty tiring – especially the part at the airport. I was pretty knackered when we touched down on Sunday evening (and hungry too!). I used to dream about travelling to somewhere nearby with my kids in the future at least once every two months. I will need to relook into this again. L A U G H O U T L O U D!
Woke up today missing Bali… London… Ok quite frankly, all the places that I’ve left my footprints at. My recent trip to Bali (exactly a week ago) was let’s just say god knows I needed it. Bali has never quite etched in my memory from my last trip, but this time around it certainly did.
The 4 of us – Luq, Trisyia, Hakim (my brother) and myself – decided to go on a holiday together. We briefly sketched out the itinerary but more than anything, we were planning on #yolo-ing. Moreover, it was just a short trip and I’m never a fan of thinking too much on my holidays (except on my solo trip to Spain, I needed to).
In Bali right now. Drove up to Uluwatu for the beautiful sunset and it was still breathtaking as the first. Glad that I went with these gorgeous humans in my life.
Luq and I plan to bring our kids to our favourite sunset spots around the world… one day 🙂
Missing London right now. We were so blessed (and lucky!) to have sunshine in London. It made our park visits chirpier and pictures turned out pretty good. Some of the highlights of the trips were having a cup of butterbeer at Hogwarts, watching Arsenal VS Liverpool live, lazing around in Kensington Park, catching Les Miserables with my lover boy and mad shopping (mad didn’t even cut it) at Primark!
I didn’t quite like Brixton (the neighbourhood we stayed at) because it was a bit dirty and our apartment was just right next to a pub – you could imagine how well I slept for 7 nights. Hence, we decided to book a room at Montcalm (near Marble Arch) for a night before heading back home – okay, I still love London after that one night in the luxury boutique hotel. My taste is getting too expensive for my pocket!
