What a year it had been for me! Nonetheless, I’m eternally grateful for everything that happened and believe that everything happened for a reason. My sweet, sweet boyfriend then, beautifully proposed to me on my 25th birthday and of course, I said yes! Struggling now to type this post with a rock on my finger! This joke is becoming my favourite. Thank you darling for making it so special for me, for us. I have to say he superseded my expectations this time around. A proposal on a yacht – that’s choppy!
My birthday celebration started with brunch at Rouse. Of course being the spoilsport that I was, I was persistently guessing where we were going on every turn he made. Next, we headed to Megazip at Sentosa where he made me jump off a board from the 11th storey (well it seemed that high but, sure it was only 4-storey high). I learned that if I ever wanted to commit suicide, I would not die by jumping off a building- a good lesson to learn when you turned a quarter century old.
We had a great fundraiser gig last evening at Spatula Bakery. It’s even better now that we have Chester who would like to be known as the boy and the box, with us. I’m so touched that friends and families came down to support our cause. Thank you again, guys!
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve kept myself busy with quality time spent with my loving partner, my family including the notorious cats at home and work. Work has been quite challenging for the last 2 months (or 6 months). Am very thankful for an understanding and patient partner who never fails to listen to me rant about work on a daily basis- you’re a star! Things are looking up, let’s hope I’ll see that light at the end of this tunnel… somehow eh?
We just want to thank all you lovely people for joining us last Wednesday for our first event at Artistry Cafe. Special thanks to Prashant, the owner of Artistry Cafe who was very generous to lend us the space for the night. We managed to raise $300 in total. Thank you everyone for your generous donations. We are donating this amount to Cat Welfare Society to help them find a forever home for the stray cats in Singapore. I’m sure your little dollars will go a long way for our furry friends 🙂
Join my partner and I at Artistry (17 Jalan Pinang) this Wednesday, 8pm for our little cause. Luqman will be singing on stage and we’re raising some funds for Cat Welfare Society.
Bring your friends along for a mid-week winding down session. We hope to see you there! 🙂
Checked out #sgnightfest on Friday. Pretty cool line up for the event. This year’s theme is bold and beautiful. The highlight for me was the “earth harp” played by William Close. The array of light shows surely did justice to the theme. I went to the one at Singapore Art Museum and National Museum Singapore.
