baby you did great

Spent my Sunday morning under the sun to support Luq in Keppel Games 2015. Keppel is rich. I mean, rich. Then again, it is the biggest oil rig company in the world making it into the Guinness Book of World Record. I thought it was great idea for a company to hold such events to bring different business units together. Well, the competitiveness is crazy. Each time Luq told me about his training, I found myself saying, “Why are you guys so competitive? Just have fun. Shouldn’t that be what it’s about?” Apparently, no.

Keppel Games

First place for 4 x 100m relay.

I am so proud of Luq. He’s won first prize in all 3 events that he participated in. At times, I question what he can’t do in life. He won the team flag challenge. I remember how many edits he had to make, rushing from work to home and back to work again. He won first place in soccer and track 4 x 100m relay. Well I know he’s always been fit, but I didn’t realize how fit he actually is. LOL, very observant partner I am.

He trained up well for these events. Rushing to meet me for yoga after training because you know I don’t like doing things without him these days. I am growing to be that clingy partner that I cringe to be, but he makes it look alright to be that way. I think he loves me depending on him. LOL, yes issues. Plus he doesn’t ride anymore so getting around is just a little bit harder and training venues were all over Singapore.

With all that he had gone through (and what I had to put up with – dinner only after 9 on most days- against my dieting rules), I am very happy and proud of him yesterday.

Of course I suffered from mild sunburn after that. Reached home only at 9pm. Washed my face and applied my peel-off mask for about 20 minutes while waiting for laundry (yes, I am getting a wee bit domesticated most weekends these days). And while waiting for my mask to dry up, might as well put some aloe vera on my hair too (just why not, I am into natural home care these days). After removing the peel-off mask, I applied turmeric (what a god send) on my face for about 15 minutes on my face.

My face is almost back to normal. Things I do for love…

Hi, chanced upon you blog and I must say I really like your style of writing 🙂 Just one question tho – I’ve heard all the rave about turmeric mask, but does it really help? Won’t it turn your skin, urm, yellowy?

      Hello Haney,

Thanks for your kind words. About the turmeric mask, your face will be yellow after you wash it – but it won’t be for long. Usually by the next morning, my face is back to normal! So I would recommend that you apply it at night before bed 🙂

      Hope this helps!
